Hurricane the Dane (part 3)

Hurricane the Dane (part 3)

So now you’re about to hear about how sweet and good our God is:  At VBS, I saw a family we know, and mentioned jokingly to one of the kids about asking their mom for a really big black dog for their birthday.  When their mom overheard me, she asked in surprise if we were not going to be taking Hurricane after all?  When I finished telling her that he would not be going with us, her eyes lit up and she said the oddest thing:  “My sister and her family want YOUR DOG!”  I couldn’t believe my ears.  Our dog?  How did her sister and family (who we didn’t know) know about our dog?  As it turned out, they had been wanting a Dane for some time, had heard about our dog and our family, and had started asking about him.  So, to make the rest of this very long story short, they came to visit our family and Hurricane last Saturday, and it was nothing short of *love at first sight* for all of them! (Can you hear the music?) The kids, the parents and the dog are perfect for each other, even down to the fact that they are all tall!  God more than fulfilled all my requests in what I wanted for Hurricane with this precious family. While our family (especially our girls) is grieved to be letting Hurricane go, we are very thankful for how God has provided a wonderful and loving home for him and has provided us with a peace about his future.  Please pray for our kids (and their Momma) Hurricane will be transitioning to his new family right before we leave for camp at the end of the month.
